At first glance the sony on the left seems a little sharper because the eyebrows and eyelashes are a little crisper but the actual iris and eye on the canon are significantly sharper the reason for this is the sony actually front focused a little bit and it does this pretty consistently whereas the canon is a little bit better at finding the iris and i do think everybody wants the iris in focus so this is a point for the canon.

先是拍摄静态人物,索尼对焦人眼的时候会往前一点,索尼睫毛也清晰,佳能直接对焦到眼球的虹膜,Tony老师认为佳能更好。
With the Canon i can just leave it in IAF as the primary mode and it works, it finds something, it finds the body, it finds the eye when it's available; With the Sony it's not quite as seamless i have to actually use subject tracking with the center auto focus point and just rely on that primarily and then if an eye happens to pop in the frame it'll latch onto it sometimes but basically the IAF is rarely in use nonetheless it's still got shots in focus honestly i was pretty disappointed with the bird IAF from the alpha one, I just expected more the r5 had set my expectations really high it sometimes kicks in and it sometimes helped but pretty much you're using the tracking mode all the time.

关于鸟眼AF: 使用R5的时候,使用鸟眼AF作为主要的对焦模式就行了,不用担心太多;使用A1的时候,鸟眼AF基本无用,大多数时候还是使用追踪模式,R5拔高了他对A1的期望值,结果就是很失望。后面还提到R5可以识别昆虫和鸟的形状,鸟眼不行的时候还可以用身体AF,头部AF,眼部AF,而A1只能找眼,这里也看的出R5的算法比A1先进的多。

Ready yeah!Ready go!Both cameras achieved their manufacturer's spec frames per second when we were further away, dang look at that guys moves natural athlete but as we got closer we put more pressure on the focusing system and the frames per second dropped significantly in the case of the alpha one! This could probably be resolved if Sony updated the 70-200 lens which is a little old. Setting the cameras to release priority would improve the frames per second but reduce the number of in focus photos it might be hard to see on your screen but as we got close the Sony alpha 1 pretty consistently missed focus on the eyes there were a few shots where the eyes were sharp but that might have just been luck by contrast the R5 got almost every single close-up shot in focus even when distractions were in place like hands in front of the face these might look like portraits but we're running in these shots.

接着模拟运动员左右变线的情况追焦:在距离比较远的时候,都能完成厂商说明的连拍张数,离的近一点,索尼A1的连拍张数下降的非常多。(Tony解释说720GM太老了,呵呵)接着A1改成了AFC释放优先,连拍张数提升了,但是持续性的失焦(alpha 1 pretty consistently missed focus),有对的准的仅仅是Lucky;作为对比,R5几乎张张准确。
We brought our car to a private road for more testing and things got weirder here. The Sony Alpha 1 achieved only 8 to 11 frames per second driving only 35 to 45 miles an hour gotta get it smooth, the canon R5 got about 50 percent more frames per second averaging 11 to 16 frames per second for a camera that's about 30 percent less expensive indeed canon's autofocus algorithm is proving to simply be more reliable. perhaps because their 70-200 is newer honestly i was expecting a little more out of the alpha one it it did good but it didn't beat the r5.

接着模拟拍赛车的情况:这种情况下A1每秒连拍张数降到8~11张,而R5比它高50%,大概11~16张,事实证明R5的追焦算法更可靠。Tony期望A1更强,结果是连R5都打不了。
